The Lassen County Supervisors approve the draft of the letter commenting on the notice of preparation of an environmental impact report for the proposed closure of CCC. The supervisor’s letter is an 8 page document that addresses concerns they wished to have addressed and or factored into the report. It was also noted in the letter the supervisors would like to have a 30 day extension to the comment period due to lack of completion in detail to the notice of preparation document as well as it not fully representing the end project goal of closing the prison in entirety. The Lassen County planning commission will revise the recommended word changes to the document and will have to submit prior to the deadline of February 14th.
