The California Transportation Commission has moved almost 500 million dollars to projects to fix and improve transportation infrastructure throughout the state. Caltrans District two will benefit from these funds through 5 projects in its district. One being to the Buckhorn New disposal Sites on SR 299 near Lewiston in trinity County. It will help improve material disposal sites as well as construct culverts. Other projects include SR 273 in Redding, SR 96 near Happy Camp, and I5 near Corning on the Thomes Creek Bridge. The funds come from Senate bill 1, the road repair and accountability act of 2017.
