Plumas Unified School District Board of Trustees agrees to keep Indian Valley elementary students at their current Taylorsville location for the remainder of the school year. Teachers at the meeting pleaded the case that it would not only be a daunting task to relocate the school back into Greenville but it would also bring back unnecessary trauma to students and staff to view the destruction of the fire on a daily basis. As for Greenville High School students the fate of their school is still up in the air. Re-opening the high school presents many challenges such as internet, phone and food service, and staffing, all of which the school currently does not have. The board is considering many alternative options yet none are solid viable options. The board will continue discussion for the high school at their next board meeting on December 8th.
