CalTrans stated that State Route 70 remains CLOSED from the Greenville Wye to Jarbo Gap due to a slide approximately six miles east of Belden. The route remains closed as the slope above the roadway remains unstable.
Friday, Feb 7th CalTrans geotechnical team will be on-site to assess the area and determine the next steps for clearing the slide and making the roadway safe for travel. At this time, there is no estimated time for reopening.
