Westwood Unified School District has announced a new guideline regarding beverages on campus as part of their local school wellness policy. Starting February 18, 2025, students in grades TK-12 will not be allowed to bring soda, carbonated beverages, or energy drinks onto school grounds.
To facilitate a smooth transition, there will be a reminder period from February 11, 2025, to February 18, 2025, during which students who bring these beverages to school will be reminded of the new policy. After February 18, 2025, students found with restricted beverages will be required to dispose of them properly.
