Measure T & U asked to gauge voter approval for LAssen County’s plan to combine the offices of Auditor/Controller and Tax Collector/Treasurer into one Director of Finances. A position already rolled into one, on the shoulders of Nancy Cardenas, following the last election cycle, which showed a lack of candidates for the positions.
The measure is advisory only and will head back to the board for consideration. Supervisor Tom Neely was the sole board member to openly oppose the measures.
