What we know:
Verizon users across the nation are reporting “no signal” and “total blackout” according to Downtetector.com, which tracks outage reports across multiple platforms and services. Those with the service report being in SOS mode unable to make calls or send texts. The issue does not seem to be affecting emergency 9-1-1 calls.
Earlier this morning the outage spike peaked with reports of the outage topping 100,000 users. That number has since decreased as the network provider says they are working to “fix the issue”. No official statement from Verizon has been made as to when the issue will be resolved or what the definitive cause of the outage is.
