Traffic Alert: Bass Hill Road Delays Expected as Caltrans Begins Shoulder Rumble Strip Removal

SHARE NOW

Get prepared for a week of delays over Bass Hill. Starting Monday, May 6th, Caltrans will start a Shoulder Rumble Strip (SRS) removal operation.

The project starts just south of Bass Hill Road and ends at Johnstonville Dump Road near the Shugru Reservoir. It includes removing the shoulder rumble strip and replacing it with an edge-line rumble strip in north and southbound directions.

Caltrans says this will impact your drive with lane closures throughout the project, though delays are expected to be less than 10 minutes as work begins.

Closures will start Monday and last through the end of the week. Please give yourself extra time for delays, slow down, and drive carefully in and around the project area.
