Susanville Salvation Army Launches Holiday Help for Families in Need

The Susanville Salvation Army has announced the opening of its Holiday Assistance applications, which will cover three programs: Thanksgiving Food Boxes, Christmas Food Boxes, and the Angel Giving Tree for children aged 0-17.

Families in need can apply by scanning the QR code on the organization’s flyer or by visiting the application link provided by the Salvation Army. The deadline to submit applications is October 31, and space is limited, so early submission is encouraged.

For those who encounter difficulties completing the online application, the required documents—identification for all adults in the household, proof of household income, and identification for children (such as medical cards or birth certificates)—can be brought in person to the Salvation Army office. The office is located at 1560 Main Street, in the Grocery Outlet Center behind Chevron, and is open from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

This initiative follows the conclusion of the organization’s Back-to-School program, as the Salvation Army continues to provide support to local families during the holiday season.
