A reminder as you head into your weekend, you can plan on additional slowdowns through the Canyon starting Monday. Caltrans District 2, along with Robert J. Frank Construction, Inc., are preparing to begin work on a drainage replacement project on State Route 70 in Plumas County. The $255,000 project will replace five culverts from just west of the Grizzly Creek Bridge to approximately two miles west of the junction with State Route 89.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 23. Motorists will encounter one-way traffic control with up to five-minute delays, Monday through Friday, during daytime hours. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 21.
