Work has officially begun on the long-awaited Southeast Gateway Project on Main Street in Susanville, a $2.3 million project funded by the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) in cooperation with Caltrans.
City Manager Dan Newton highlighted that this project will fulfill the city’s goal of extending sidewalks along the entirety of Main Street among other details to enhance the gateway to the city.
The project area spans from the Walgreens intersection to just beyond McDonald’s. You can expect lane reductions and minor slowdowns when entering town.
