The Westwood Beach Culverts Project is now in its second phase, affecting traffic along State Route 147 near Canyon Dam. This $600,000 project by Caltrans District 2 aims to rehabilitate aging culverts at eight locations, stretching from just south of Indian Hills Road to north of County Road A-13.
What to Expect This Week:
- Today, Monday, September 23rd: Crews will be conducting sampling work, which may cause delays of up to 30 minutes between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Tuesday and Friday: Expect similar delays as sampling continues throughout the week.
Looking Ahead: Excavation work will resume in mid-October with one-way traffic control, causing delays of up to 15 minutes during weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Plan for extra travel time and be mindful of reduced speed limits and construction crews in the area. The project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
