Be on the lookout for a Black Ford expedition, as the driver is wanted for questioning regarding a collision with construction equipment on SR 70 through the rock slide area.
Quincy CHP says an unknown man believed to be in his 50s or 60s was driving through the rockslide area on SR 70, as local traffic is allowed through the hard closure past the Greenville Wye when he blew through Caltrans Automated Flagger device that suspends an arm across the lane to hold cars through the one-way traffic controlled area. After colliding with the arm, the man failed to stop and notify the proper authorities.
Quincy CHP is asking the community to help identify the man who is also believed to live in the Feather River Canyon, is heavy set, has a long hard and a beard, wears glasses, and usually travels with a woman or lap dog.
If you have any information regarding the vehicle or man, please call the Quincy CHP office at 283-1100.

In another update from the Quincy CHP office, the Big Rig rollover earlier this week resulted in diesel fuel spilling into the Feather River.
Reports indicate that less than 100 gallons leaked into the river as the flatbed semi lay upside down at the river’s edge.
Quincy CHP says the collision was caused when the semi made an unsafe turn, forcing the truck off the side of the road, colliding with the end of a guardrail, and sending the truck down the embankment. Due to the size of the truck, it overturned into the river. The driver was ejected, and another passenger was in the truck but was also able to escape without injury.
