Quincy CHP is on the lookout for a hit-and-run suspect, known only as Rudy.

The CHP says Monday around 2:30 ‘Rudy,’ identified as a 30-year-old Hispanic male with a mustache, who is known to have recently moved to Portola from Arizona, was driving a borrowed pick-up truck when he went to make a right-hand turn but did not drive onto the roadway but continued down the gravel shoulder eventually striking a parked suburban. Authorities say ‘Rudy’ failed to stop after the collision and continued on before abandoning his truck further down the road when it became disabled due to the damage from hitting the other vehicle.

The CHP would like to contact ‘Rudy’ as he failed to alert authorities or the suburban owner about the collision. They are asking the community for your help in identifying ‘Rudy’ and any information leading to his location. You can call the Quincy CHP office at 283-1100.
