Firefighters from the Plumas National Forest and the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department Inc. are on scene Tuesday evening, September 1st, responding to the Junction Fire, located along Quincy Junction Road.
The incident originated as a structure fire before spreading into surrounding vegetation. Responding crews successfully knocked down the wildland extension at approximately one-quarter of an acre.
Firefighters remain on scene working on containment and thorough mop-up operations. Local residents and drivers are advised to exercise caution and watch for firefighter traffic and emergency equipment along Quincy Junction Road.
