After years of planning and pushing for a pump track at Susanvilles’s Memorial Park, city engineering says the track will arrive within the next two weeks.
The pump track received council approval in December, with a contract award going to Crazy J’s Concrete just this April. Shine, the youth-inspired outreach program has been vying for the new attraction over the last few years, including raising funds for the project, though the city was able to obtain a per capita grant that will fund the project for under 80,000 dollars. This installation is only part of a bigger goal to expand the Memorial Park skate park to its original design.
