Eagle Lake’s Diamond WUI Pile Burn completed 40 acres; operations are expected to wrap up today.
Hat Creek concluded a 7-acre burn near Big Lake, smoke may linger for the next two days following yesterday’s ignition completion.
Almanor RD completed 100 acres and, with CAL FIRE, begins the Almanor Pile Burn near Prattville until the 17th.
Forest officials urge you to be cautious if you are driving near HWY 89 due to the visible smoke.
Today through Sunday, Calfire will begin a new prescribed burn near Lookout. The burn will be conducted near County Rd 91 and Service Gulch Road.
The planned project will treat 1,000 acres of timber and brush understory.
The Lassen Modoc Unit says smoke will be visible and you are asked not to report it.
