Smoke will be visible from a prescribed fire planned for today. In the area of Galeppi Ranch off Quincy jct road the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department will have hose lay around the perimeter of the burn as well as have an engine on standby. The burn will only take place if conditions allow and remain safe to do so. This burn is part of a 36 acre fuel reduction project that is led by the Plumas Underburn Cooperative.
