Portola City Manager offers resignation at special city council meeting. Lauren Knox is stepping away from her role as city manager as her family is expecting to welcome in their second child. In Knox’s letter she said she cannot give both her family and the city what it needs. She will continue in her role through February 11th. The city council will begin taking steps to select an interim city manager to take over after the 11th. Portola City Council meetings take place every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6p.m. You can view upcoming agendas at cityofportola.com.
