Plumas County 911 Malfunction; Lines Restored

AT&T has resolved the malfunction and all 911 lines have been returned to Plumas County.

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office is currently experiencing a technical issue with its AT&T 911 lines, affecting emergency call routing in the area. Until the issue is resolved, all 911 calls will be rerouted to the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office, which will assist in relaying emergency information to Plumas County dispatchers.

Despite the malfunction, residents can continue to dial 911 for emergencies. Business lines at the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office remain fully operational, and anyone needing to reach the office directly can call 530-283-6300. Dispatch is available 24/7 to respond to all urgent needs.

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office expressed appreciation for the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office’s support during this outage and assured the community that updates will be provided as soon as AT&T restores normal service.
