Planned PG&E Outages Closes Parts of FRC Thru Noon Today


A planned PG&E outage will leave parts of Feather River College closed through noon today. Starting at 8 am indoor lecture and lab classes will be canceled through noon. If you are in an outdoors class you can continue to meet, some classrooms will plan to have an alternate teaching activity, while other staff may be forced to work from an alternative location off campus through the outage.

The college will fully open at noon. Kevin Trutna, President of FRC says a notice will be sent by 10:30 am with an update on the status of power, by 3 pm a second notice will go out for all evening classes.

PG&E is installing new equipment in the area and will also be leaving over 300 without power in Meadow Valley and parts of Quincy from 8 am to 4 pm.

Temperatures will be in the upper 90s without power through the heat of the day open windows in the early morning hours to keep cool and stay hydrated. Check on your senior neighbors
