Do not be alarmed; you may smell and see smoke this Thursday in Wendel and the Honeylake area. Calfire’s Lassen Modoc Unit will be assisting Fish and wildlife with the rescheduled planned burn in the Dakin Unit of the Honey Lake Wildlife Refuge.
Standish Volunteer Fire Department and the Lassen National Forest will support crews with the 84-acre ag burn.
These efforts are to reduce fuel and improve the habitat.
Calfire asks that if you see smoke from the burn, do not report it.
