PG&E Urges Caution on North Fork of Feather River

PG&E urges caution around the North Fork of the Feather River as an additional increased flow for whitewater recreation will take place this weekend.

From October 1st to the 2nd flows will gradually increase below Poe Dam for nearly 8 miles starting at Poe reach in the Plumas National Forest in Butte County. Class three, four, and five rapids will be produced down to the Poe Powerhouse just upstream from lake Oroville. Flows will be increased significantly from 350 cubic feet per second to 1400 by 9 am on Saturday. After 3 pm on Sunday flows will be brought back down to 200 CFS.

Use extreme caution if visiting, the increased flows are meant for experienced paddlers only.
