Paradise is about to get their party back on: the quiet sidewalks of the Paradise Community Park will be filled with the Butte County Ridge community again for the return of the Party in the Park.
The weekly event is returning Wednesday after a year hiatus during the pandemic. The seasonal event, last seen in 2019, is described as a “seasonal tradition of local pride and community vitality by organizers.
The event consists of a farmers market, live music, dancing, local eateries and businesses selling their products, and more. Most importantly, the business advocate for the Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce, Mark Thorp, says it’s a moment for the ridge community to reconnect after a year’s worth of pandemic isolation.
Organizers call this a “town favorite” and are hoping to beat record numbers they saw in 2019 after the Camp Fire. Further, with many COVID-19 restrictions lifted in California just the day prior, they hope Wednesday encourages vaccinated and unvaccinated alike to join for a fun and safe reunion.
In following the events patriotic theme, the United States Air Force band of the Golden West, Galaxy, kicks the party off at 5:30 with Funk, Rock, Jazz, and Soul music. The event will run every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Paradise Community Park through August 3.
