The Susanville Indian Rancheria Housing Authority is set to present a proposal to the Planning Commission for a new two-story fourplex apartment complex at 300 Alexander Ave. The 16,000-square-foot building, featuring wood and stucco siding, will consist of four three-bedroom, two-bath apartments.

Public hearing notices have already been issued to homes in the neighboring area. You can also view the notice on the Planning Commission’s agenda.

This project is crucial for Susanville, as the community navigates economic changes and a declining population. The construction of these new apartments would contribute to the broader effort to revitalize the area, providing much-needed quality housing for families who remain or are moving to the area. The development aligns with Susanville’s general plan to enhance the living conditions in the city, supporting long-term community stability and resilience in the face of ongoing challenges.

The Housing Authority will present the proposed construction to the Planning Commission on August 13th at 5:30 pm. This meeting offers a valuable opportunity for you to share your input, learn more about this project, and provide any comments you may have.
