The Lake Almanor Chamber of Commerce announces a town hall meeting Sept. 29 with a feature presentation by Peninsula Fire Protection District.
Organizers say the meeting will provide an overview of the new property tax assessment beginning November 2026 and how the funding will support Chester Fire Station services.
The meeting starts at 5:15 p.m. at Mt. Lassen Theatre, 200 Main St. Those interested can also watch live via YouTube.
