Multi-Plex Housing Complex Proposed on Skyline and Numa

Tomorrow, the Susanville Planning Commission is set to deliberate on a crucial decision regarding the recommendation for a proposed multi-plex housing complex on Skyline Road.

Notably, with the approval of this housing project, which consists of fifteen five-plex buildings, a signal light would need to be installed and would initiate the completion of Cameron Rd.

The complex, proposed to be called Hilltop Villa, will be a multifamily housing development accommodating a total of seventy-five units on the five-acre parcel located between Numa Road and Cameron Road and fronting Skyline Road.

Because this project would require the completion of Cameron Road to Skyline, it would necessitate the construction of a traffic signal at the Numa and Skyline Road intersection.

A traffic study was conducted to address increased traffic flows through the area, concluding that impacts would be notably lower than initially projected.

The city would be fulfilling an initiative to bring more affordable housing within city limits with this project, a challenge that has been addressed in the city’s General Plan.

A public hearing will be held on this proposal, and the commission to convene tomorrow at 5:30 in city hall. An agenda can be found on the city’s website.
