Prepare for additional slowdowns on HWY 70 as you near Hallelujah Junction. Caltrans and Mitchell Johnson Construction, start fixing areas of erosion damage today. You will see work beginning near the Plumas/Lassen County line to about 2.5 miles west of Hallelujah Junction. Work will include rock slope protection, slope and weed barrier reconstruction, metal beam guardrail repair, and paving. You can plan to add an extra 30 minutes to your travel as there will be 24/7 one-way traffic control. You can expect to see the road work through the month of September when it is expected to be completed.
