The Modoc Medical Center (MMC) Auxiliary has generously donated $8,000.00 to Modoc Medical Center to fund outdoor benches at Mountain View Skilled Nursing Facility. These benches will enhance comfort for residents and visitors alike by providing ample outdoor seating throughout the campus.

“This donation illustrates the generosity of the individuals who make up MMC’s Auxiliary,” said MMC’s Chief Nursing Officer, Ed Johnson. “We are fortunate to have their support in everything we do.”

At Modoc Medical Center, the Auxiliary operates the MMC Gift Shop, located inside the main hospital at 1111 N. Nagle Street in Alturas. Every dollar earned through the Gift Shop goes directly back into supporting Auxiliary efforts at Modoc Medical Center. Composed entirely of volunteers, the auxiliary aids MMC by raising funds for needed equipment within the MMC Facilities.

MMC Auxiliary members include: President – Gail Eppler; Vice President – Karla Mason; Secretary – Gail Eppler; Treasurer – Dottie Houghtby; Bookkeeper – Jeanne Cain; Members – John Callaghan, Marty Olson, Lynne Staub, Christy Porter, Jean Atkins Carol Ennanga, and Noemi Jones.

Community members are encouraged to stop by the Gift Shop to browse unique gifts and seasonal items. Those interested in joining MMC Auxiliary should visit the Gift Shop to learn more and pick up an application. The Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
