The Lassen National Forest has opened the much anticipated Christie Campgrounds at Eagle Lake. The campground remained closed as the recreational area opened for the summer season due to a lack of staffing. The Forest Service following the shakeup of the facilities operations took back over the use permit from the Lassen College Foundation to oversee the grounds management and was only able to staff with camp hosts the recreational areas and other campsites with Christie on hold. The permit will continue to be held for the next year with a reassessment to come next season. Though As of today as much anticipated, you can begin to make your reservations for the sites by visiting recreation.gov.
