The Almanor Foundation (TAF) announced that the 2026 Wildfire Relief & Recovery Grant Cycle is officially open, inviting eligible organizations to apply for funding that supports relief, rebuilding, and long‑term revitalization efforts for communities impacted by wildfire in Plumas County.
Wildfires have caused profound and lasting damage across the region, destroying homes, displacing families, disrupting local businesses, and straining community resources. The Almanor Foundation’s Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund exists to accelerate recovery by supporting organizations working on the front lines of housing, economic development, health and wellness, and community capacity building.
The grant program is designed for nonprofits, community organizations (under a fiscal sponsor), tribal entities, and public agencies addressing unmet post‑fire needs in Plumas County. Priority funding areas include:
