LMUD Discusses Changes to Solar Program and Net Energy Rates

The Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) is holding its board of directors meeting this Tuesday, where they will set a date for a public hearing on distributed generation and net energy rates.

The move potentially changes how those who participate in Lassen M U D solar program are compensated for the electricity they generate at home and put back into the grid. This could involve altering the financial arrangements or credits homeowners with solar receive for the extra electricity they contribute.

Additionally, the directors will review the district’s kilowatt-per-hour charge for the quarter. The agenda indicates that no rate changes are currently recommended.

The board meets at 65 S. Roop Street in Susanville tomorrow, August 22nd at 5:30
