LCSO Preps Eagle Lake for Winter

The Lassen County Sheriff’s office was out on Eagle Lake yesterday preparing the lake for the coming winter storm. All buoys have been removed from the lake, and the Forest Service will remove the dock within the next few days. If you are planning to head to the lake to get out on the water one last time, the Sheriff’s office warns there are many hazards around the lake, and be aware
that the dock is almost entirely out of the water. Due to shallow water conditions and forming ice and snow with winter conditions at the lake, the Sheriff’s office says their ability to rescue boaters will be limited.

The dock is typically removed for the winter season around the 1st of December.
