LCC Puts on 24HR Firearms Training

Lassen Community College puts on a 24-hour course for Handgun familiarization. Students 18 years and older will have the opportunity to learn a basic introduction to the legal aspects of shooting and safety. Topics covered in the course include handgun familiarization, safety, and shooting principles with live fire exercises. Students will train by a provided Glock 9mm semiautomatic pistol.

To be able to attend the class you will need to be live scanned by the college and receive DOJ firearms clearance prior to the first day of the course, results typically take 7 days. Upon completion, you could walk away with a Peace Officer Standards and Training certificate in firearms. The course is scheduled for October 24th to the 26th from 8 to 5 pm.
