Lassen County Office of Education Announces “Believe in Yourself” You Matter Conference for Students

The Lassen County Office of Education (LCOE) has announced plans to host the “Believe in Yourself” You Matter Conference, an event aimed at providing middle and high school students in Lassen County with educational resources and tools to navigate today’s challenges.

The event will feature keynote speaker Trinity Wallace-Ellis, an entrepreneur and motivational speaker recognized for her engaging presentations and focus on personal growth and resilience. Wallace-Ellis is expected to share her experiences and insights with attendees, offering perspectives on overcoming obstacles and pursuing personal development.

The conference will also include sessions addressing topics such as:
Healthy Relationships
Suicide Awareness
Fentanyl and Social Media Safety
Human Trafficking Awareness

According to Patricia Gunderson, Lassen County Superintendent of Schools, the conference is designed to provide students with information to help them make informed decisions and support their overall well-being. “This event is intended to be a day of learning and growth for students as they navigate important issues,” Gunderson stated.
