Lassen County Waterworks District No. 1 will be performing routine fire hydrant flushing on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Flushing is part of regular system maintenance. It helps clear sediment from the mains, pulls fresh water through some of the dead-end lines, and helps maintain stable chlorine levels. During flushing you may notice: Temporarily discolored (brown or reddish) water
Lower than normal water pressure
If you see discolored water: Run an outside faucet until the water clears before using water indoors.
Water service should return to normal by the end of the day.
