Lake Almanor Continues to Feel Aftershocks from Last Week’s Quake

Two more quakes strike Lake Almanor yesterday, rattling shelves once more. The USGS reports a 2.9 quake struck just before 7 am and the second just before 9 am at a magnitude of 3.7, both at a relatively shallow depth. These events are aftershocks to the main quake felt last Thursday. The USGS had indicated that there would be a high likelihood of mag 3.0 or higher rumbles over the next week. Those that felt the latest two reported only feeling very low-intensity waves.

Other than a bit of a shake-up, no further incidents were reported.
