KSUE Loses Long-Time Alumni

Reno lost a familiar face and voice this past week with the passing of Bob Carroll. Bob was a mainstay on both radio and television in Reno for the past six decades.

Bob started Reno’s first television news department for KTVN, channel two news in the early sixties.

Bob started his broadcast career with us right here at KSUE in 1956 shortly after he and his family moved from L.A. to Susanville. This is where he cut his teeth in broadcasting before moving to Reno where he became a local radio and television personality.

So Bob is part of our long list of alumni here at KSUE and in fact Bob joined us for KSUE’s 70th anniversary four years ago. Bob was a consummate broadcaster and great friend. He will be missed.
