Joint DUI and DL Checkpoint Yields 1 Arrest and 4 Citations

The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Susanville Area, in conjunction with the Susanville Police Department, conducted a driving under the influence (DUI) and driver license safety checkpoint on August 17, 2024 on Main Street at Rob’s Way in the city of Susanville.

A total of 483 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Of those, 403 were screened. Four (4) people were cited for driving without a valid license, and one (1) person was arrested for DUI.

Funding for this program was provided from a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
