The Plumas County Fire Safe Council has honored Jan Davies, the Firewise lead for the Seneca Hamilton Branch, with a Certificate of Recognition for her significant contributions to wildfire preparedness in the community. This initiative highlights notable fire safety achievements in Plumas County.
Davies received her personalized certificate during the council’s meeting on April 10, after being nominated by Amber Hughes, the PCFSC rural outreach coordinator and Firewise liaison, with support from a subcommittee of the PCFSC board.

She described Davies as a “true force for good” and a “Firewise superhero,” noting her exceptional ability to connect people, share knowledge, and mobilize resources, which has strengthened community bonds and enhanced wildfire preparedness.
