Three snowmobilers were involved in a high-speed crash west of Lake Davis. Plumas County Search and Rescue successfully located the people involved as they were being taken down the hill by fellow snowmobilers who happened to come across the incident. Search and Rescue along with Forest Service law enforcement transported the victims the rest of the way out by snow cat and a tracked UTV. Ambulances met the victims at the snowmobile staging area and transported them to the hospital. Snowmobile collisions involving multiple vehicles contribute to 20% of snowmobile fatalities while the majority typically involves a single snowmobile.
