Fire crews are responding to a new vegetation fire reported Tuesday north of the Lake Forest community near Eagle Lake Road in Lassen County.
CAL FIRE Lassen-Modoc personnel were dispatched to the incident, with engine crews and aircraft arriving on scene and working to contain and extinguish the fire. Additional resources are responding to assist with suppression efforts.
The 1-2 Fire is located approximately one-quarter mile northeast of Lake Forest Estates. Initial reports from air attack indicate the fire is estimated at about 2 acres, burning in the timber understory with a slow rate of spread.
Officials have not reported any structures threatened or injuries at this time. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
