Just before 3 am, Plumas County Sheriff’s dispatch center began receiving 911 calls reporting the fire on the 300 block of East Main Street. Quincy Volunteer Fire Department and other mutual aid agencies quickly knocked down the flames and prevented the fire’s spread to nearby structures or forestland.
Investigations revealed an unattended bbq on the front porch of the building initiated the fire that engulfed the building.
No injuries were reported.
