Highway 395, North of Deep Cut Road, at an undetermined speed. For unknown reasons, Mr. Sisk allowed the Buick to drift to the left into the southbound lane and onto the west dirt shoulder. Mr. Sisk attempted to correct by turning to the right. Mr. Sisk was unable to maintain control of the Buick and overturned. Passenger Cheryl Dodgin was laying, unrestrained, in the back seat of the Buick. When the Buick overturned, Passenger Dodgin was ejected and suffered fatal injuries as a result. Mr. Sisk and his other passenger Heidi Cruz suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision and both parties were transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center for complaint of pain. The cause of this collision is still under investigation. The CHP is asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to call Officer T. Wilder at the Susanville CHP office (530) 252-1900.
