UPDATE:
Fire crews responded to an early morning fire on Elm Street and 2nd in Westwood.
Westwood Fire confirmed the blaze caused significant damage to an outbuilding and threatened surrounding trees. However, a quick response from multiple agency responders knocked down the flames before any further damage was sustained. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
The cause remains under investigation.

The fire broke out around 5 a.m.
According to reports, a shed caught fire in the back of a property and spread into the nearby trees. Authorities say popping sounds were also heard coming from the building.
