Do not be alarmed by smoke in the air, says Calfire’s Lassen Modoc Unit. If the weather allows, the unit will conduct a fuel reduction project throughout the week. The project area will be within Sierra Pacific Industries land at D line, South of county road A-21, east of Clear Creek.
You may see smoke around Westwood, Clear Creek, and Lake Almanor. You are asked not to report this smoke. The fuel reduction is in efforts to further protect Clear Creek and Westwood from wildfire through the help of Sierra Pacific Industries and the Lassen Fire Safe Council.
