Single-Wide Catches Fire in Early Morning Hours on Shasta Street

Susanville Fire confirms that a single-wide trailer in the backyard of a home at 812 Shasta Street was the structure that went up in flames in the early morning hours of today.

Authorities say no one was in the home at the time of the fire, but it was lived in. No cause on what started that fire has been released.

A detailed report is expected to be released later this afternoon.

Fire crews are responding to a structure fire on Shasta Street in Susanville early this morning, prompting neighboring homes to evacuate.
Initial reports indicate that a trailer had caught fire on the home’s property, cannot confirm if a home has also been affected.

Power has been cut between Modoc and Tehema.

Avoid the area for emergency response teams.
