Court Resumes in CCC Case

The fight to keep the CA Correctional Center, CCC, open continues in an earlier-than-expected court proceeding tomorrow. From court case documents the State is calling for a dismissal of the case in light of the change in the penal code following the trailer bill that re-established prison closure criteria to a firm closure date for the closure of CCC on June 23 of next year. The state is also requesting the City of Susanville pay for its legal fees. The court proceeding will begin at 9 am tomorrow in courtroom C of the Lassen Superior Courthouse Hall of Justice.

Update July 25 12PM: This proceeding was denied by Judge Moody. Court will proceed on August 2nd at 9am.
