Lassen and Plumas counties were pummeled by the winter storm that brought intense white-out conditions and hours of non-stop snowfall. Some of the latest reports of snow totals over the last 24 hours show impressive near-foot snow for Susanville, Quincy, and Chester, with surrounding areas receiving multiple feet. The winter storm and blizzard warnings have expired as of 4 am this morning, with a welcome break today through Friday.
The next winter storm arrives by the weekend, roaring from the gulf of Alaska yet again; the national weather service out of reno says to the tune of the saying, “in like a lamb out like a lion,” that the March lion is on the prowl as the 1st day of the month arrives.
