Chester unveils plans to bring the community an ice skating park this winter and spring season. The Lake Almanor Chamber of Commerce, along with Plumas county, has been working towards developing the recreational site in Chester for many economic opportunities, that includes the summer and fall farmer’s markets and the Town Plaza project.
The new rink will open on December 2nd at Chester Park and run through March. The rink came at the cost of 80,000 dollars; you can help in ensuring the rink remains a staple in the community by becoming a patron of the rink by donating to the chamber.
Rink hours will be on Fridays from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 5:00 pm, with sessions lasting 45 minutes at 5 dollars per person.
